Chinese Drywall Litigation - MDL 2047

In October, Judge Eldon Fallon announced a partial settlement for claimants in the Multidistrict Litigation. The partial settlement consists of a remediation program, which seeks to restore the homes of claimants possessing Knauf-manufactured Chinese drywall. Currently, the program is in the pilot stage, remediating 300 homes across the southeastern United States. The program is designed to take the home, remove the defective drywall, repair all problems caused by the drywall, and return the home free of defect to the owner. Judge Fallon has reported the program is progressing well, and he would like to see expansion of the program in the future.
